Home Barn Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of South Somerset and there are a wealth of things to experience and enjoy.
A number of superb National Trust properties are nearby, including Montacute House, Stourhead and Barrington Court. In addition, the lovely Margery Fish garden at East Lambrook is a 20-minute drive away. There are also a number of beautiful country parks on our door step, such as Ham Hill and Nine Springs.
We are ideally placed for local museums, such as the Haynes Motor museum and the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton Air Base.
There are a number of charming market towns nearby including Castle Cary, Sherborne and Bruton. We are 40 minutes from the ancient cathedral city of Wells and the town of Glastonbury, which retains the feel of the Glastonbury Festival throughout the year.
South Somerset is home to a number of renowned craftsmen and workshops including the John Leach Pottery at Muchelney, Shakespeare Glass and the Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre.
We are about 40 minutes away from the Jurassic Coast with West Bay [of Broadchurch fame!] and Bridport, which is our nearest beach and coastal town.
Home Barn is a great base for anyone visiting Yeovil or the Yeovilton Airbase on business. We are also conveniently placed for anyone who is visiting Sherborne, Bruton and Millfield private schools. Bristol and Bath are about 80 minutes’ drive away.
Transport links to this area are good; with frequent trains to London and Exeter, well as Bath, Bristol and Weymouth.
